Beauty  Tips

Every woman dreams of herself as the glowing, beautiful bride on her wedding day. But to achieve this, you have to devote time to beautify yourself. This process of rejuvenation has to start off at least 2 months before the D-day! Sounds tiresome doesn't it? But, wait till you reach the end of this article and you will know what will keep you occupied for the whole of two months! We'll take it step by step.

WEEK I

You have to begin at the beginning. You are busy running around, getting your trousseau together, your jewelry ordered and the works. So, this is the time your health and skin requires a lot of care, if you want to be the glowing bride of your dreams. Get a routine health check up to know whether you have any deficiencies like anemia, etc. that sometimes lead to problematic skin and fatigue that makes you appear dull and washed out. You will have ample time to correct the deficiencies and give an impetus to your image and stamina (which you will require in loads from here on.) Skin care
Running around in the sun exposes your skin to sun rays, pollution, and these leads to a lot of skin distress. So your first priority is to protect your skin from these. Take care to use a good sunscreen lotion or cream, depending on your skin type, whenever you are going out in the sun. And don’t restrict the protection to just the face, because the rest of your exposed skin requires due attention too.

Cleanse your face and neck as soon as you get back and follow up with toning and moisturizing your skin. Start using one of the herbal packs that are available, or if you have the resources, make a pack at home and let your skin get the breathing and pampering it requires. Once a week, use an exfoliater for your entire body. Pay special attention to your lips. Give them a gentle massage with fresh cream and then cover them with either olive oil or petroleum jelly. The knees and elbows require your attention too. Apply petroleum jelly to them in the night to keep them soft and clean. videochat roulette usa

Hair Care
First thing is to stop using your hair dryer, as you might need to use it a lotlater on. You will need it to do up your hair for any of those unavoidable functions you have after the wedding (You might be short of time then). This will give your hair the required break from heat stress, as they will anyway be exposed to the sun too. Shampoo your hair frequently, do a hot oil massage before it. Don’t use too much of conditioner from the bottle. Try using a homemade conditioner like vinegar or beer for the last rinse.

Eyes
Do not neglect them, as they are the mirrors of your soul. Protect your eyes from the sun by using a good pair of sunglasses. Splash your eyes with fresh water as many times as possible throughout the day. At the end of the day remember to soothe your eyes by covering them with cotton dipped in chilled rose water.

Just relax when you do this. If you have dark circles under your eyes, and no deficiency is found to be the cause; then they might be either hereditary; or you are not getting enough sleep; or your eyes are constantly under strain from squinting in the sun, in front of the computer or in a room full of cigarette smoke.

Get your eyes checked for any defects or increase in power. If nothing comes of it, then make sure you give up the aforementioned activities that strain your eyes and take off for your daily beauty sleep, at a regular time and for greater length of time than you have been doing in the past. These dark circles are a result of your not getting enough rest.
Make use of the under eye gels available in the market, or go the natural way, and use chilled tea bags, chilled slices of potato or cucumber over your eyes. Always be very gentle in massaging the eye area, as it is very delicate. Use castor oil to massage the lashes daily, to make them grow thick.

Hands And Feet
You have to begin with a ritual of soaking your hands and feet in warm water with vinegar. Use a scrub to clean them and then moisturize. This should ideally be done at the end of your day.

Diet and Exercise
The most important ingredients of any beauty regime are diet and exercise. Without them you will never be able to achieve your dream. Start eating right. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water (8-10 glasses or more since you are running around) and junk the irresistible fast foods, ice creams and colas when you are out shopping. Rather carry a bottle of water and fruit with you, so that you can have them if you are getting late.

At this time, if you do not follow an exercise routine already, do start with one that suits you. Every body needs some kind of exercise, irrespective of the girth of your waist. If you are a beginner, start with a regime, to which you will be able to stick to rather than spending hoards of money on a gym and never going there. Do simple stretching exercises, or take a morning walk, or if you are interested in yoga, then go ahead with Pranayam, etc. in the morning. But remember to check with your doctor if you have a back problem.

Keeping your mind relaxed is also an important part of your fitness. If you are tensed and exhausted, then your face and body will definitely reflect it. So, take to meditation, breathing exercises, or Yoganidra. This will help train your mind to relax despite the stress of adjustments demanded by situations, during and after your wedding.

WEEK II
Continue with the above mentioned routine, but some more additions are needed.

Skin
Get your waxing done in this week so that you still have six weeks left for the hair to grow back, and only then will the waxing nearer your wedding day will be of greater use. Since, by this time the hair growth will be adequate for stubble free waxing and will also last for a longer time after the wedding. Get a facial done by a professional beautician.

Hair
Here too, you require to plan what your hairstyle will be on and after the wedding day. If you prefer a short hairstyle, then this is the time to go for a trim, so that you can still have time to change your hairstyle later on if you want to. But if you don’t want a change, your hair will have grown enough to require trimming nearer the wedding day. This will ensure that you can be free to enjoy yourself, rather than worry about a trimming soon after your wedding, for you might not have the time to do so.

Hands And Feet
Go for a professional pedicure and manicure once a week apart from your daily cleaning routine. This will help you grow your nails strong and long with professional advice for keeping them so.

Diet and exercise
You should continue with your regime and now you can increase the tempo, by increasing the amount of time spent on exercising. This will not only help your body look good but will also increase your appetite, give your moods an uplift and give you a healthy look. Do you want to look good just for your wedding day by going to the parlor and getting all done up? Or do you want the beauty to come from within and last longer? If the latter is your choice then remember you have to work hard to get what you want.

WEEK III & WEEK IV

Continue as you have been doing. But, by now you should start concentrating on your wedding dress, the look you want and the accessories to o with the dress. If you want a professional make upon the D-day, you need to look around for a parlor in your vicinity. Decide on this with care. Find out what cosmetics they use, what hair product they use and take advice from somebody who has already used the parlor for such an occasion. Do not agree to do anything unless you are satisfied with the kind of input you get from the above mentioned sources.

WEEK V

Once again, go for a professional facial. If you like and can stretch your budget, you can go in for the specialized treatments available at the beauty parlors. But don’t over indulge and destroy what you might have achieved, naturally, in the past four weeks. At this time, you can also take up Blossom Kochchar’s special aromatherapy treatment for brides

WEEK VI & VII

These are the weeks when all the functions before the marriage begin, generally. Do not try to use the same kind of make up and elaborate dress, which you will be wearing on your wedding day. This, keeping a lower profile before your wedding, is to maximize the effect you want to achieve on the most important day of your life and the days after it.

At this time, you can also use the age-old recipes for beautifying your body from your Grandma. They are gems, which one should make use of, as they are tried and tested from the days when no artificial means were available to make one beautiful. Just make sure that you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients (whether they are for skin or hair) by doing a patch test on the inside of your arms. You can also continue with the pedicure and manicure routine you must have established by now.

WEEK VIII

The red-letter day is nearing and you might have butterflies fluttering inside in anticipation of all that you will experience after your wedding. This also intensifies your urge to make yourself the most ravishing bride possible. And surely, if you have kept to the regime, you will achieve it! So now comes the last few, frenetic days when you have to wrap up all your things and get ready for the most momentous journey of life.

This week, you get your haircut and waxing done. Your final facial should be done at least a day before your wedding because the resulting glow is only apparent a day after the facial is done. This also reduces the chances of your face looking puffy from the massage as well as in time-saving, so that you can devote more time to getting that look you want and still feel relaxed.

The pedicure and manicure should also be done a day before. This will ensure that the mehendi applied on your hands and feet the day before your wedding, gets the required 12 hours to get that desired color. Also you have to be careful not to wet your hands and feet, as the color of mehendi might fade. Your hair must also be shampooed, at least, a day before so that they become much more manageable on the final day.
